The City of West Park is a city in Broward County, Florida, United States. It is in the southeastern portion of the county, which is located near Pembroke Pines, FL, and was established on March 1, 2005. The new city was named West Park for a big portion of the city lay west of Pembroke Park.

After the Florida Legislature passed House Bill 1491 in 2004, the formerly unincorporated communities of West Park began the incorporation process. This opened an election on November 2, 2004, that opened its way for West Park to be Broward County’s 31st city. The votes were 3,400 to 956 for incorporation. The new city is called West Park temporarily until they decide on a permanent name. Later, the same name was retained.
