C.B. Smith Park is located at 900 N Flamingo Rd, Pembroke Pines, FL 33028, United States. It is a public park that has a lot of amenities that everyone can enjoy. The vast park is a 299-acre site that is very popular with the locals. It is also well known for its waterpark, “Paradise Cove”, which opens in certain seasons only and has blackout dates each month.

In addition to the above, the park also offers fishing, a fitness facility, golf, basketball, campground, paths for walking or jogging, miniature golf, picnic areas,  shelter rental, volleyball, tennis, and playground.

The Safety Town is another famous attraction in C.B. Smith Park. It has different interactive stations like operational traffic signals that teach kids some safety skills. A total of 71 RV sites, all with water, electricity, water, sewer hookups, and grills, are available at the park’s lakeside campground. It’s a perfect place for families to bond without any hassle as necessities are accessible. There are even laundry facilities, heated showers, and restrooms in the area.

It is one of the diverse parks of Broward County. You can even rent a bike or bring your own and use it on the bike trail. The park has almost two miles of paved pathways where you can enjoy biking. It is also home to the endangered Burrowing Owl. This small owl has long legs and inhabits North and South America’s landscape. Compared to other owls, they are more active in daylight. 

C.B. Smith Park was formerly a piece of property that the United States government sold to Broward County in 1959. It is one of South Florida’s largest parks, formerly known as Snake Creek Park, and served as a firing range for students during World War II. Its name was taken from Commissioner Charles Barney Smith in 1967. He served both the City of Hollywood Commission and Broward county.

Park Entrance as of December 2021:

Monday to Saturday: 8 AM to 6 PM

Sunday: 9 AM to 5:30 PM

It has an entrance fee of $1.50 per pax (kids 5 and under free) for weekends and holidays.  $25 per person is sold for the annual pass or $60 for 6 people under the same car. You can access the park using  #3, #5, #7, #23, and 95 Express  Broward County Transit Routes.
