Rising-West Princeton is a community in the West End of Birmingham located in Jefferson County. Its western section is formerly known as Rising Station and has a predominantly diverse neighborhood. It gives residents a suburban feel and most residents rent their homes.

Rickwood Field

Rickwood Field is located at 1137 2nd Avenue West in Rising-West Princeton at the corner of 12th Street West. It was built in 1910 for Birmingham Barons by Rick Woodward. It became the home park of the Barons, in 1987 they moved to Hoover Metropolitan Stadium. The area has been preserved since then.

AMICO 

AMICO or Alabama Metal Industries Corporation is located at 3245 Fayette Avenue in Southwest Birmingham. It is a fabricator of metal lath, grills, fencing, and grating.
